Albed Rug Company is a locally and family-owned flooring company with roots dating back to 1914. Samuel Albed began selling rugs in Cape May, New Jersey, and expanded to Philadelphia in the 1920s. In 1960, Sam and his son, Ray Albed, Sr., opened for business at our present location. Ray Albed, Sr., is a three-time past president and 30-year board member of the Oriental Rug Retailers of America (ORRA).
Now located in the heart of the Main Line in downtown Wayne, PA, the third generation of the Albed family proudly serves the Philadelphia metropolitan area with a continued commitment to service and value. Ray, Jr., Michelle, and Nancy are ready to assist you in selecting the right rug for your home at a fair price.
Albed Rug Company is a two-time winner of the prestigious national Oriental Rug Retailer of the Year award. No other store in the country has received this honor twice.
